Sun Microsystems Acquires Storage Technology <br />Mayor Sisk noted the Golf Course is doing very well under a new management <br />company. Mayor Pro Tem Brown commented the Recreation Center is very <br />productive as well. The Council discussed what was left to do for 2006: <br />. Open New Library - Resolve service to non-residents <br />. Business Retention & Development <br />. Adopt Urban Renewal Plan <br />. Start and Complete City Hall Remodel <br />. Complete and Adopt Revised New Impact Fees <br />. Approve Downtown Parking Management Plan <br />. Financial and Management Software - Complete Installation <br />. Revise and Adopt Purchase Policies <br />. Revise and Adopt Investment Policies <br />. Repair Skate Park <br />. Complete last section of Coal Creek Trail <br />. Coal Creek Minimum Instream Flows <br />. Coal Creek Golf Course Management <br />. Complete Rehabilitation of Pirates Park <br />. Opening of the Jordinelli house and summer kitchen <br />. Consideration Ordinances on noise and trailers <br />. Consider traffic calming devices for Cherry Street & S. 88th Street <br /> 2006 BUDGET IN RETROSPECT <br />General Fund Revenue <br />. Sales tax allocation between the General Fund and Capital Projects Fund <br /> was altered by 2% to fund Economic Development and New Library Staff <br />. County Road and Bridge Tax revenue were reduced by $40,000 <br />. Sales tax was budgeted flat with 2005. Expected decreases in home <br /> improvement were thought to be fully offset by increases in utility tax <br /> increases. <br />Increases in the 2006 Budget <br />. 1 % Cost of Living Increase <br />. 2.5% Merit Raise Increase <br />. Gas & Electric expenses were expected to increase 20-30% in 2006 <br />. The City added $234,546 in salary and benefit increases primarily from <br /> adding the economic development position and new library positions <br />
