Sign up at <br />LouisvilleCO.gov/HazardousWasteEvent to be <br />notified when appointment slots go live, event details, <br />and a list of what is and isn't accepted at the event. <br />SMOKE DETECTOR RECYCLING <br />If your home experienced smoke damage, all smoke <br />detectors should be replaced. Old smoke detectors <br />should be recycled properly because they contain a <br />small amount of radioactive material, which should <br />not go to landfill. <br />Recycling through Household Hazardous Waste is <br />available from Boulder County until March 31. Visit <br />www.BoCo.org/HMMF to make an appointment. <br />SPRING LEAF & BRANCH CURBSIDE EVENTS <br />Republic customers can take part in the Spring <br />Curbside Leaf & Branch Collection Events, <br />Republic will collect up to twenty (20) compostable <br />bags and an unlimited number of bundles of <br />shrubbery and tree limbs cut to 4' length, no more <br />than 18" in diameter, and tied with twine or rope. <br />Compostable bags can be purchased at home <br />improvement stores. <br />Tuesday and Wednesday Customers: Sat, Apr 30 <br />Materials in street/gutter area by 7 AM <br />Thursday and Friday Customers: Sat, May 7 <br />Materials in street/gutter area by 7 AM <br />UPGRADE YOUR COMPOST & RECYCLING CARTS <br />Residents participating in the City's solid waste <br />program through Republic Services can upgrade to a <br />95 gallon recycling cart and/or a 95 gallon <br />compost cart at no extra cost. <br />To upgrade for free, call Republic's Louisville Customer <br />Service line on 303.286.5400 (Mon - Fri 8 AM - 5 PM) <br />or visit LouisvilleCO.gov/Republic and complete the <br />website contact form. <br />FREE COMPOST FOR YOUR GARDEN <br />Starting the weekend of April 2-3, Louisville residents <br />can collect free compost for their gardens on the first <br />weekend of every month from 8 AM until 4 PM.The <br />compost will be available at the Branch Recycle Site, <br />located just to the north of the Louisville Cemetery on <br />Empire Road.
