Alteration certificate requests
are tied to landmark requests to ensure the work proposed would not affect a property's
historical integrity for landmarking. Alteration certificates are not required for routine
maintenance, such as painting, but are required for work that requires a building permit.
The proposed work falls under this review purview, which should focus on how the
proposed changes may or may not impact the building and its historic integrity.
The applicant proposes the following alterations:
1.
