LCity,/ <br />Louisville <br />COLORADO • SINCE 1878 <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION <br />AGENDA ITEM 2 <br />SUBJECT: CITY COUNCIL JOINT MEETING YOUTH ADVISORY BOARD <br />(YAB) <br />DATE: APRIL 22, 2025 <br />PRESENTED BY: JESSICA SCHWARTZ, LIBRARIAN I — TEEN SERVICES <br />MANDY PERERA, RECREATION SUPERVISOR II <br />DIANA LANGLEY, CITY MANAGER <br />SUMMARY: <br />The City Council tries to meet annually with each of the City's advisory boards to <br />discuss Council's Work Plan, the board's work plan, and alignment of the two, provide <br />direction and discuss matters of mutual interest. <br />Current members of YAB include: <br />• Sena Williams (Monarch, 11th Grade) - Chair <br />• Soren Firestine (Fairview, 11th grade) - Vice Chair <br />• Everett Weiss (Centaurus, 10th grade) - Secretary <br />• Chelsea Dietz (Monarch, 11th grade) - Marketing Manager <br />• Bailey Bartich (Centaurus, 12th grade) <br />• Violet Beckman (Monarch, 9th Grade) <br />• Aerith Braverman (Casey Middle, 7th grade) <br />• Grace Firestine (Platt Choice, 7th grade) <br />• Evan Hiatt (LMS, 7th Grade) <br />• Seoyool Lee (SUMMIT MIDDLE, 8th Grade) <br />• Lexi Miller (Centaurus, 12th grade) <br />• CJ Payne (MONARCH, 9th Grade) <br />• Kiana Peterson (Centaurus, 12th grade) <br />• Sonya Solomon (Monarch, 10th Grade) <br />• Lily Timberlake (Monarch, 10th Grade) <br />• Hazel Van Zale (LMS, 8th grade) <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />None. <br />PROGRAM/SUB-PROGRAM IMPACT: <br />The meeting helps the Council meet the goal of the Governance Sub -Program by <br />helping to understand the community's diverse interests. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />City Council provide feedback and guidance related to the 2025 board work plans and <br />goals as well as alignment with the adopted 2025 City Council Work Plan. <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION <br />
