Louisville Municipal Code <br />• Sec. 2.20.020. — Boards and Commissions - General <br />Except as otherwise provided by the charter or by ordinance, each board <br />and commission shall be advisory in character. <br />• Sec. 2.20.070 — Cultural Advisory Board <br />The board shall serve in an advisory capacity to the city council in matters <br />related to the arts and culture. The powers, duties, and responsibilities of <br />the board shall be as set forth by city council resolution. <br />LCity 1 <br />Louisville <br />Resolution No. 59, Series 2023 <br />• The Board shall have the following responsibilities and such other <br />duties as may be assigned by the City Council: <br />A. Advise the City Council and staff in connection with cultural programming, <br />the future development of arts and culture in Louisville, and matters that <br />support the equal rights and opportunity to participate in culture. <br />B. Advise the City Council and staff on the allocation of funds in support of the <br />arts, including the City of Louisville Arts Grants Program and the Arts and <br />Events capital and operating budgets. <br />C. Advise the City Council and staff in matters relating to the City' s Cultural <br />Arts Master Plan, including advising on master plan updates and medium - <br />and long- term planning for arts and events. <br />D.
