From: Shaunna Mozinao <br />To: Hone Medina; Chad Root <br />Cc: Jenny Lane <br />Subject: Re: Adoption of the 2024 IECC Question. <br />Date: Monday, May 19, 2025 6:49:17 AM <br />Attachments: imaae003.onq <br />imaae004.ona <br />imaae005.nnq <br />imaae006.nna <br />imaae007.nna <br />imaae008.onq <br />imaae010.onq <br />2024 IECC Minimum Amendment suaaestions MCG.docx <br />I would add that the commercial Kitchen folks aren't in love with the kitchen hood <br />requirements in the IECC and some say that they new Demand Control Ventilation <br />requirements for Type 1 hoods may be a conflict, but I'm not really convinced that they are. <br />There are a few places in the commercial chapters that refer to demand control or controlled <br />outlets for hotel rooms and certain sleeping units, but no requirement to actually have any of <br />them since the board removed those requirements and put them in the appendix chapters, <br />however, I have just amened the sections to say, "where installed,..." because maybe you <br />adopt those appendices or they use them to comply with C406. <br />Here is my list of some amendments I make to the IECC but none of them are because of <br />conflicts with other codes.
