r
Phars stated that many alternatives were discussed and the _
conclusion was that this was the lighting standard that was most
appropriate. These lights are consistent with the street lights on
Sol -th boulder Road.
Autrey Eastwood, ]Public Service, stated that some of the luminaries
on K are not level. They will be realigned. To correct the
spilling of the light into the resident's yards, she suggested
to ing a different brand of streetlight head and decreasing its
site. They did a computer run on lowering the light pole and it
mate the uniformity of the light falling on the roadway
considerably worse. –
Ma)er stated that there are different standards for coamercial and
rem- idential areas and this seas to be the same spacing. He stated
that either we're under lighting the commercial areas or over
lighting the residential areas.
Eastwood: We'll be glad to take a look at
that. _
Howard wondered what the difference would be between using
rectilinear vs. cobra heads. --
Eastwood explained that with the rectilinear the light
classification would be the same as the cobra head and the
rectilinear is a more expensive fixture than the cobra head.
slim
Howard wondered about the view blockage, when the poles .could be v
painted, and if that was tho only acceptable spacing. --
Eastwood stated that that is the spacing that was established for
that section of the roadway. They will try and paint in the late
-- susaaer and early fall. She wanted to try a different type of
streetlight head and lowering the bulb wattage to correct the
problem. .
Raspy wandered if the wattage would be enough light to keep
- KcCaslin safe for joggers, walkers, bikers, and traffic. —
Ustwood: Yes.
Phrre wanted to reactivate the streetlight installation with the
uncerstandinq that they will modify the luminaries in the vicinity
of Via Appia and KcCaslin by brand name and by wattage on the --
J lamps .
Howard wanted the computer printout, so he could show the
neighborhood prior to the continuation of installation.
Ryg agreed.
3 s
s
 "" • 1- y► " y, ` ' r °, :zZ.. `v }"i;% ^ d' 1c - vy_ '¢_L+r'fi'r' /„ri, 'ti,f.:4,, r,.•iri'Yki11... i"`i ti .R'i -.' a' '.
