However, we may have extra funds after maintenance week. We have tinted the windows to help with the glare. Runners also like to see outside from the track. Madeleine: For now, could we roll these temporary blinds up when not needed to reduce glare? Please consider new blinds for funding. Michele: I agree this glare can make court play difficult. Lisa: the Board can consider this during our next CIP cycle. We can contact you when we have determined next steps for action. Staff Updates — Kathy Martin Recreation & Senior Services Long Range Plan Update - No consultants until September Kathy: we are working on our citizen survey and with focus group members to inform Plan development. Our public open house is on October 29th during the day and evening. We will also have table at resource fairs, the farmers market, trailheads, and golf course. One challenge for us is that Comp Plan is not complete, so we do not want to get ahead of the Comp Plan's development process. Our Plan includes a trails master plan. We need two volunteers from the RAB to participate on the Trails Joint Advisory Board. Michele and Dan agreed to volunteer, thank you! Dan: I received a text from a polling company prompting input for the Plan's survey. Kathy: this would not be from the City's consultant so it may be a scam. Maintenance Week Projects Projects include completion of another cell tower (AT&T) for the Rec Center, refinishing our hardwood floors, new/upgraded technology for fitness classes including Zoom access, pool upgrades, etc. Pool deck work should be finished soon. Michele: for next year's maintenance, can Memory Square add more hours for lap and open swim while the Rec Center pool is closed for maintenance week? Kathy: yes, we can consider adding more hours. For the batting cage, the electrical work is done but we have not yet completed all maintenance.
