It is unclear when the house was built on the property or if the Schneider family was living there. The <br />Schneiders are listed in Louisville directories for 1892, 1896, and 1898 but their address is not specified. <br />Boulder County Assessor records list the year built as 1905, however an earlier date seems more likely, <br />particularly since dates of construction for houses in Louisville that are given by the County have at times <br />been found to be in error. <br />Buffo Family Ownership, 1902-1946 <br />Property deeds show that Mike and Maria Buffo purchased 936 La Farge from the Schneiders in 1902. <br />However, directories show the Buffos living at this address as early as 1900. They may have been renting <br />the house before they purchased it. Due to changes in address numbering over the years, the house has <br />been known as: 455 La Farge (1916), 445 La Farge (1921), 447 La Farge (1926, 1928, 1930), 451 La Farge <br />(1932, 1936).
