Fr%T <br />. 1 1 1 f_ I I I I 1 1 1 <br />601 Pine floorplan from Boulder County Assessor Card, 1950. <br />From Mike Deborski's family notes: <br />My grandparents, Mary and Andy, with my father Ed first lived in the garage (batch) <br />that my grandfather built of flat cinder blocks. These blocks, my family cast by hand <br />in Globeville and were also used to build a portion of the foundation of my existing <br />home. Andy and his nephew Leo [Deborski] would make the trek to Globeville once <br />a week, make a batch and bring back the load from the week prior. Construction <br />came easy to Andy, this was his summer job when the coal mines were off for the <br />season. <br />As long as I can remember my grandmother worked at Bungalow Drug, which later <br />became Walgreens. She was a kind and generous woman, sometimes to a fault. She <br />would consistently buy things for people in need and put them on her tab. I recall <br />quite often, my grandfather being upset because she brought home no paycheck. <br />Mary Deborski took part in numerous women's clubs throughout the 1950s, including the Home <br />Demonstration Club, Thimble and Tumble Club, and the Learn and Do Club. She frequently led <br />presentations and demonstrations on a wide range of topics related to housekeeping, health, and <br />crafts. Raising two sons, she was also a den mother for the Cub Scouts. <br />
