Recreation Advisory Board <br />Minutes <br />August 25, 2025 <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />Adam updated the Board on upcoming Council actions: <br />10/21/25 — City Manager budget presentation to Council <br />11/3/25 — Budget adopted <br />11/10/25 — City Council 2026 work plan <br />Pickleball court update: <br />Additional information has been received from the sound consultants with a <br />recommendation for sound mitigation remedies due to the projected impact on <br />several homes in the surrounding area. The original budget did not include any <br />amount for this work and therefore, a budget amendment is likely necessary. The <br />actual amount is not yet known. This is anticipated to go to Council for <br />consideration on 11/18/25. <br />Providing Council approves the budget amendment, the project is anticipated to <br />be completed in late spring/early summer, weather dependent. Court <br />programming will be developed prior to opening. <br />PROS Guidebook - Samuel Contreras, DTJ Design <br />Samual presented the Guidebook purpose and process as outlined in the <br />included slide presentation. <br />Board members were invited to submit comments on the following topics: <br />- What are we doing well now? <br />- What are our top priorities? <br />- How do we measure success? <br />There was a discussion of the ideas submitted, common themes were noted and <br />thoughts clarified. <br />The next steps in the process are a community -wide statistically valid survey <br />that will be conducted and various open houses/pop-up events designed to reach <br />as many community constituencies as possible. <br />Discussion Items for Next Meeting on October 27th <br />Sustainability efforts <br />Golf Course — dashboard, pass rate structure, benchmarks <br />Director Update <br />2026 Work Plan Discussion <br />Outdoor Subcommittee Update <br />Adjourn — The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 pm. Move to adjourn was <br />approved unanimously. <br />
