Sec. 15.05.150 Section R703.1 amended -Exterior Wall Covering <br />Section R703.1 of the International Residential Code is amended to <br />read as follows: <br />R703.1 General. Exterior walls shall provide the building with a <br />weather -resistant exterior wall envelope. Exterior siding shall meet the Fire <br />Home Hardening Code. <br />Exceptions: <br />11og walls designed and constructed in accordance with the provisions of ICC <br />400. <br />2. Historic Structures <br />Sec.15.05.160 section R806 amended- Roof Ventilation <br />Section R806 of the International Residential Code is amended to <br />read as follows: <br />R806.1 Ventilation required. Enclosed attics and enclosed <br />rafter spaces formed where ceilings are applied directly to the underside of <br />roof rafters shall have cross ventilation for each separate space by <br />ventilating openings protected against the entrance of rain or snow. <br />Ventilation openings shall have a least dimension of 1/16 inch (1.6 mm) <br />minimum and 1/4 inch (6.4 mm) maximum. Ventilation openings having a <br />least dimension larger than 1/4 inch (6.4 mm) shall be provided with <br />corrosion -resistant wire mesh with openings having a least dimension <br />Of/16 inch (1.6 mm) minimum and'/s inch maximum. Openings in roof <br />framing members shall conform to the requirements of Section R802.7. <br />Required ventilation openings shall open directly to the outside air and shall <br />be protected to prevent the entry of birds, rodents, snakes and other similar <br />creatures. <br />Sec.15.05.170. Section R902.1 amended- Roofing Material <br />Section R902.1 of the International Residential Code is amended to read as <br />follows: <br />R902.1 Roof Assemblies. Roof decks shall be covered with <br />materials as set forth in Section R904 or with roof coverings as set forth <br />in Section R905. Class A roof coverings shall be installed and shall be <br />tested in accordance with ASTM E108 or UL 790. The roof assembly shall <br />be listed and identified as to class by an approved testing agency. <br />Exceptions: <br />Ordinance No. 1907, Series 2025 <br />Page 17 of 58 <br />
