I 12 City of
f
Om Louisville
Historical Museum
Memorandum
To: Historical Museum Advisory Board
From: Gigi Yang, Museum Services Supervisor
Date: November 19, 2025
Re: Museum Services Supervisor's Report
The Museum is finishing up the year with a successful Louisville History Month. We had 517
people attend the Vintage Baseball game on September 20 and received positive comments
and engagement with the Memory Square and Louisville trees walking tours, Legendary Ladies
event, and Dog Days of Louisville exhibit at the library.
We were very pleased to continue building relationships with the Indigenous community through
programs with Fred and Mary Mosqueda (Southern Arapaho and Cheyenne) covering Arapaho
culture and history, and a film screening on Indigenous artists with producer Jordan Dresser
(Northern Arapaho). The Mosquedas also met with Museum and Cultural Arts staff to consult on
ways we can include Native American history and culture through exhibits and programs in
Louisville.
We are sorry to announce that Hadley Kluber Seifert — Museum Associate for Collections
moved on to a full-time position with CU libraries in mid -October. Visitors to the Museum and
program attendees continue to increase each year and we always enjoy meeting people from
other states and countries. So far we have had visitors from 38 different states and 17 countries.
We recently led tours for five second -grade classes from Louisville Elementary and Coal Creek
Elementary.
Looking back on 2025, Museum staff introduced numerous new programs, walking tours, and
topics. We increased community engagement working with the Louisville History Foundation
and Historical Museum Advisory Board during the Farmers Market and Labor Day Parade.
We are looking forward to giving out Holiday Treat Bags during the Parade of Lights and
participating in Shop Small with the launch of a print -on -demand gift shop through the Louisville
History Foundation.
Museum staff are excited about a host of new events planned for 2026, highlighting Louisville's
history and commemorating the sesquisemiquincentennial.
