Section 19. Section 9.60.010 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as
follows (words to be deleted are shown in strikeout; words to be added are underlined):
Sec. 9.60.010. Failure to return library material.
It is unlawful for any person to fail to return any book, newspaper, magazine,
pamphlet, photograph or any other items or material belonging to the public library
of the city within 30 days after receipt of a written overdue notice requesting the
return of the item or items. Violators of this section shall be subject to a fine equal to
the cost of the material not returned, plus a $5.00 replacement charge and a $5.00
billing fee in amounts as established by resolution of the city council.
Section 20. Section 12.12.030 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby repealed and
reenacted to read in full as follows:
Sec. 12.12.030. Permit—Fee.
No permit to excavate in any street or alley shall be issued unless the
applicant for such permit has first paid to the city the required fee as established by
resolution of the city council.
Section 13.08.130 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to read
Section 21.
as follows (words to be deleted are shown in strikeout; words to be added are underlined):
Sec. 13.08.130. If, therefore, consumers furnish other
people with water or supply water for animals, sprinkling, washing vehicles or
building purposes, or permit it to be taken without the knowledge or consent of the
water department, it is a violation of contract, and consumers so offending will be
required to pay double the price of water so used; and the city reserves the right to
shut off the supply for abuses of water privileges. When the water has been turned
off for a violation of this section, the water will not be turned on again until all water
rent and penalties have been paid, including a the further sum of $5.00 for turning the
water off, in an amount as established by resolution of the city council.
Section 22.
