Louisville SustainabilityAdvisory Board <br />Corrected Meeting Minutes:Wednesday, March16, 2011 <br />City Hall,749 Main Street, Spruce Room <br />I.Call to Order: <br />The meeting was called to order by Chair Andy Johnson at 6:30pm. <br />Minutes to be taken by Mark Persichetti. <br />II.Roll Call:Cullen ChoiMary Ann Heaney <br />Members present (in bold):,, Annie <br />Andy JohnsonArno LaeseckeMark PersichettiTed Sontrop <br />Hughes, ,,;;Staff <br />Tom Phare;Dave ClabotsBeth Beckel <br />Liaison City Council Liaison ;guests/visitors , <br />David Greenwald <br />. <br />III.Approval of Current-Meeting’s Agenda: <br />The agenda was approved as-is. <br />IV. Approval of Feb Meeting Minutes: <br />There was no quorumin February, so no <br />LSAB meeting. <br />V. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda: <br />David Greenwald, with <br />Transition Louisville, discussed a proposal for installation of an information kiosk at the <br />library, to start with some type of documentary on the installation ofphoto-voltaic solar <br />panels at the city’s water treatment facility. He proposed collaboration and participation <br />between LSAB and T-L for this project.Andy and Cullen may be able to pursue this <br />topic, and create an action plan with topics that could be displayed at a kiosk. <br />VI. City Council/LSAB Study Session: <br />Members expressed favorable comments <br />about Mary Ann’s presentation on Livable Cities at our recent study session with City <br />Council. Mark stated he had heard from some council members that they’dbe <br />interested in hearing from us about possibilities for windpower-generation installations in <br />the city; Arno and Cullen may be able to pursue this topic. <br />Open-Government Training Sessions: <br />Tom Phare stated the city-mandated sessions <br />would occur some timewithin the next two months; we’ll be contacted with the session <br />schedule. <br />VII. Community Update: <br />Arno stated we should prepare some text for the next <br />Community Updatein April; Mary Ann offered to do a write-up. Suggested topics were <br />summertime water-use issues, city water-use rebates; the national water conservation <br />organization, and Slow-the-Flow(sprinkler inspection program).
