Case Manager: Paul Wood, Planning Director <br /> <br />Public Notice Certification: <br />Published in the Daily Camera on February 18, 2007 and posted in City Hall, Louisville Public <br />Library, Recreation Center, the Courts and Police Building, and the City's website on February <br />16,2007. <br /> <br />Conflict ofInterest and Disclosure: <br />Deborski stated his family has a storage business but it does not include trailers so it is probably <br />not a conflict of interest. <br /> <br />Staff Report of Facts and Issues: <br />Wood provided the following summary: <br />. The scope of the request is to review Ordinance 1511, Series 2007 which repeals <br />Ordinance 1397, Series 2002 and amends Section 17.20.160 of the Louisville <br />Municipal Code (LMC) pertaining to the parking of trailers on private property. <br />. The request is based on the number of comments received from the residents of <br />Louisville covering a wide spectrum of concerns relative to the existing ordinance. <br />. The request was initiated by City Council. <br />. If approved the following language would be removed from Section 17.20.160 of <br />LMC: <br />1 ) No trailer may be parked in the front yard of a residential lot for more than 72 <br />hours. <br />2) No trailer may be parked on the side yard unless the side yard is enclosed with <br />a privacy fence at least 4 feet in height, and no more than 6 feet in height. <br />3) The privacy fence cannot obstruct the vision clearance requirements. <br />. The following language would remain in Section 17.20.160 ofLMC. <br />1) Precludes the parking of motor vehicles in residential front yards, unless <br />located on the driveway. <br />2) If a motor vehicle is parked in a street side yard area, it is required to be <br />screened from view with a six foot privacy fence. <br />Wood stated that staff recommends approval of Resolution No.7, Series 2007 without <br />conditions. <br /> <br />Questions of Staff: <br />Hartman requested a clarification of the process for the repeal. <br /> <br />Wood confirmed that Council has recommended the repeal, which they have forwarded to <br />Planning Commission for their action. After action by the Planning Commission it will then go <br />to City Council for their review and action. <br /> <br />Dalton stated that the issue is one that needs to be addressed. He asked if a recreation vehicle is <br />considered a motor vehicle. <br />
