<br />the applicable sewer tap fee. IN ANY EVENT, NO SEWER <br />SERVICE SHALL BE FURNISHED TO PROPERTY UNLESS A SEWER TAP <br />PERMIT IS ISSUED FOR THAT PROPERTY. The owner shall be <br />responsible for all labor, materials, and excavation <br />necessary for installation of said sewer tap. The City <br />shall perform all necessary inspections to determine that <br />all work is performed in accordance with the Uniform <br />Plumbing Code. <br /> <br />Section 5. This Ordinance shall apply to each water tap <br />permit and sewer tap permit issued after the effective date of this <br />Ordinance. <br /> <br />Section 6. Any person who violates any provision of this <br />Ordinance shall be fined an amount not to exceed $1,000 per <br />violation, or shall be imprisoned for a time not to exceed 1 year, <br />or shall incur both such fine and imprisonment. Each day that <br />noncompliance occurs or continues shall also be deemed a separate <br />and distinct violation. <br /> <br />Section 7. If any portion of this Ordinance is held to be <br />invalid for any reason, such decision shall not affect the validity <br />of the remaining portions of this Ordinance. The City Council <br />hereby declares that it would have passed this Ordinance and each <br />part hereof irrespective of the fact that anyone part be declared <br />invalid. <br /> <br />Section 8. The repeal or modification of any provision of <br />the Municipal Code of the City of Louisville by this Ordinance <br />shall not release, extinguish, alter, modify, or change in whole or <br />in part any penalty, forfeiture, or liability, either civil or <br />criminal, which shall have been incurred under such provision, and <br />each provision shall be treated and held as still remaining in <br />force for the purpose of sustaining any and all proper actions, <br />suits, proceedings, and prosecutions for the enforcement of the <br />penalty, forfeiture, or liability, as well as for the purpose of <br />sustaining any judgment, decree, or order which can or may be <br />rendered, entered, or made in such actions, suits, proceedings, or <br />prosecutions. <br /> <br />Section 9. <br />inconsistent or <br /> <br />Any other ordinance or portion thereof <br />conflicting with this Ordinance or any portion <br /> <br />3 <br />
