City Council <br />Study Session Summary <br />September 27, 2011 <br />Page 3of 3 <br />City Manager’s Report: <br />City Manager Fleming reviewed the advanced agenda and gave the following updates: <br />th <br />October4Council Meeting: <br />Proposed 2012 budget to be presented. <br />Ordinance 1592, Emergency Preparedness, to be tabled. Certain provisions relating <br />to seizing property will be removed and this responsibility will be left to the Governor’s <br />office.Staff does want to give the Mayor the authority to declare an emergency. This <br />ordinance will come back again in 2012 under a different number and it will go through <br />stnd <br />the 1and 2reading/public hearing. <br />BAP for Real Goods Solar to be located in the Gaiam buildingwill be presented. <br />th <br />October 18 <br />2012 Budget Public Hearing <br />nd <br />2Reading of the Impact Fee Ordinance <br />nd <br />2Reading of Ordinance giving the City Manager authority to set certain fees through <br />an administrative process <br />Dillon and McCaslin scoping discussion <br />CityManager, Malcolm Fleming updated Council on an email the Mayor forwarded him today <br />regarding the death of a dog that had used the Community Park Dog Pond. The dog’s <br />owner suspectsthe dog died of Leptospirosis which shebelievesthe dog contracted at the <br />dog pond.The dog wasnot tested for the disease. City Manager Fleming will be <br />researching this case further and will update the Council. <br />Meeting adjourned at8:20 p.m. <br />
