-- - -- -- -- -- - _ -- 03172607 <br /> riIIIII IIIIIIIIIIIII IIIIIIIIIIIIII IIIIII VIII1 IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII Page: 1 oft <br /> 09/23/2011 11:07 AM RF:$16.00 DF:$0.00 <br /> Boulder County Clerk,CO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 59 <br /> SERIES 2011 <br /> A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE FRONT STONE RETAINING WALL <br /> AS PART OF THE BALL HOUSE LANDMARK ON THE PROPERTY LOCATED <br /> AT 1117 JEFFERSON AVENUE <br /> WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council an historic landmark <br /> application to include the front stone retaining wall as part of the Ball House Landmark, <br /> located at 1117 Jefferson Avenue, on property legally described as Portion of Lots 3 <br /> and 5, all of Lot 4, Block 7, Capitol Hill, City of Louisville, State of Colorado; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Staff and the Louisville Historic Preservation Commission <br /> have reviewed the application and found it to be in compliance with Chapter 15.36 of <br /> the Louisville Municipal Code, including Section 15.36.050 (A), establishing criteria for <br /> landmark designation and Section 15.36.090, which permits amendment of designation; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the Louisville Historic Preservation Commission has held a properly <br /> noticed public hearing on the proposed landmark application and has forwarded to the City <br /> Council a recommendation of approval; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has duly considered the proposed landmark <br /> application and the Commission's recommendation and report, and has held a properly <br /> noticed public hearing on the application; and <br /> WHEREAS, the front stone retaining wall was constructed prior to 1932, and <br /> currently remains in its original location; and <br /> WHEREAS, the front stone retaining wall has social significance because of its <br /> association with the Ball House and Ball family, whose members made significant <br /> contributions to the development of the City throughout the twentieth century; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that these and other characteristics specific to <br /> the individual structure are of both architectural and social significance as described in <br /> Section 15.36.050 (A) of the Louisville Municipal Code and justify the approval of the <br /> historic landmark application. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> Resolution No. 59, Series 2011 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> PO L'7�-` <br />
