Section 22A-26. Application. Applications for contractorsJ licenses and/or registrations shall be on such forms and shall furnish such information as the Building Inspector may prescribe. The bUilding inspector shall receive and sign all applications for licenses and/or registrations set out in this section. Upon receiving an application for licensing or registration the building inspector shall forward the application to the city administrator for approval. Section 22A-27. Revilew of application; standards required for issuance. The building isnlPector shall review applicants for licenses and/or registrations issued under this division and the standards to be applied in the conduct of such review shall be the protection of the public health, wel- fare and public safety of the people of the city, so that those who are recommended to be licensed or registered under this chapter are financially and morally responsible and qualified in terms of their skills, knowledge, practical experience and knowledge to contract for or to do the work for which they seek to be licensed. Applicants who are so qualified shall be licensed and/or',/reg'lstered as provided in this division. Section 22A-28(a). The building inspector may before approving any application for a license required by this division, require the applicant to take a written or ora 1 E~xamination, el ectrica 1 contractors are excepted. Secti on 22A-29. Insur'ance. (a) Every contractor granted a license or registration under the terms of this division shall be r'equired to maintain at all time employees 1 i abil i ty, pub 1 i c 1 i abi 1 i ty insurance wi th mi nimum limi ts of not 1 ess than twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) for one person and fifty thou- sand dollars (%50,000.00) for anyone accident, and property damage insurance with a minimum limit of not less than ten thousand dollars($10,000.00) for anyone accident.
