AMENDED AND RESTATED BYLAWS OF <br />BUILDING CODE BOARD OF APPEALS <br />ARTICLE I <br />The Board <br />Section 1. Introduction. <br />These Amended and Restated Bylaws(“Bylaws”)of the <br />Building Code Board of Appealsare adopted pursuant to the authority stated in Chapter <br />15.56 of the Louisville Municipal Code.These Bylaws replace any previous Bylawsor <br />Rules of Procedure for the Building Code Board of Appeal. <br />Section 2. Office. <br />The office of the Boardshall be considered the Louisville City <br />Hall, 749 Main Street, Louisville, CO 80027, or such other place in the City of Louisville, <br />Colorado as the City Manager may designate from time to time. <br />Section 3, Purpose and Duties. <br />A. Quasi-Judicial. <br />The Board shall have the powers and functions specified in <br />the ordinances of the City and, except as otherwise provided by ordinance, applicable <br />state statutes. <br />BDuties. <br />The role of the Board will include, but not be limited to, advising the <br />City Council on such matters as: <br />(i)Hearing and decidingappeals of orders, decisions, or <br />determinations made by building officials relative to the application <br />of the building code; <br />(ii)Advising City Council on matters related to the building code as <br />requested. <br />ARTICLE II <br />Members <br />Section 1. Number of Members. <br />The Board shall consist of five (5)regular <br />memberswho are technically qualified by experience and training to pass on matters <br />pertaining to building construction whom City Council shall appoint. <br />Section 2.Associate Member. <br />A.In addition to the members of the Board, the City Council may appoint one <br />(1) associatemember for up to athree-yearterm. In the event that any regular member <br />is temporarily unable to act, the member's place may be taken during such temporary <br />Page 1of 12 <br /> <br />
