Louisville City Council Meeting <br />April 18, 2000 <br />Page 10. <br /> <br />Davidson granted Howard's request. <br /> <br />Light clarified the procedure. He noted that permission of the Mayor or City <br />Administrator is not required, to seek an advisory opinion, however, according to the <br />ordinance, a written request must be filed. The issues raised in the request must be <br />forwarded to an advisory Judge for an opinion. Light recommended providing as much <br />detail as possible to help the Judge understand the issue and provide a reliable opinion. <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator addressed the unincorporated Spruce Street property <br />previously mentioned by Council Member Sisk. Simmons stated that there was recently <br />a neighborhood meeting with about 80 persons in attendance. The property discussed is <br />approximately 7.5 acres and is planned for development. Information provided by <br />project architect indicates that they propose a development of the 1.5-acre lots or 23-1ot <br />cluster development. Simmons noted that the City has approached the property owner <br />about purchasing the property through a third party. <br /> <br />Simmons reminded Council that the next work session is April 25, 2000. Council will <br />meet with the County Commissioners at 5:30 p.m., and a tour of City Shops and the <br />Waste Water Treatment Plant will follow. <br /> <br />Simmons reported that on April 25, 2000, from 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., the auditorium at <br />the Louisville Middle School will be open for the Council to view the new seats and <br />floor, paid for by the City with use tax on residential property. <br /> <br />Mayer stated that the new seats and floor are a vast improvement and that the money was <br />well spent. <br /> <br />Brown stated that he has received several compliments from members of the Coal Creek <br />Community Theater on the new floor and seats in the auditorium and he conveyed their <br />thanks. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Mayer reported on recycling and noted that the overlot grading is proceeding on the site. <br />He stated that permit plans have been submitted to the City of Boulder and the only <br />remaining item is obtaining a license from the railroad for utilities. <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br /> <br />
