<br />City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />June 21,2005 <br />Page 10 of 10 <br /> <br />UPDATE - LIBRARY PROJECT <br />Deputy City Manager Julie Boyd reported the project began on March 28, 2005. <br />The work schedule on the project is 14 months. The original project budget for <br />the 2005 appropriations was $7,001,327. The April 2005 amended appropriation <br />is $8,857,327. Work on the garage excavation has been completed, with the dirt <br />used at the Community Park and Bella Vista Extension sites. Project shoring is <br />scheduled to be complete by the middle of next week. Residual quantities of dirt <br />may be excavated as concrete is poured for the garage footings and slab. <br />Several days of work were lost in the past three weeks due to rain and mud in <br />the site, but the project is still on schedule. <br /> <br />Council member Van Pelt asked if the technology appropriation will be added to <br />the budget. Finance Director Leslie stated it would once the Resolution is <br />finalized. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk asked if the Street Faire encountered any problems with the library <br />construction. Council members Brown and Keany stated the first Street Faire <br />went well without any problems attributed to the Library construction project. <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />No items to report. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> <br />City Manager Simmons reported on the following: <br />.
