City Council Finance Committee Meeting Minutes 12/19/2011 Page 2 of 4 The Finance Director presented the Mayor and each Councilmember a binder containing the requests for 2012 and a schedule of the grants from the City of Louisville from 2005 through 2009. The Committee will review the requests and present their recommendations at the January 2012 meeting. The schedule of grants can be located in the packet of the December 19, 2011 Finance Committee Meeting. REVIEW OF BUDGET AMENDMENT SCHEDULED FOR DECEMBER 20, 2011 The Finance Director presented a draft of a Council Communication and Resolution amending the 2011 budget for the Committee’s review. The Resolution is scheduled for Council approval at the December 20, 2011 meeting of City Council. A copy of the draft can be located in the packet of the December 19, 2011 Finance Committee Meeting. UPDATES TO INVESTMENT POLICY The Finance Director presented a draft of the proposed changes to the City of Louisville’s Investment Policy. Additional amendments are expected based on the review of the City Attorney and the Association of Public Treasurers of the United States & Canada. A final redline and clean version will be presented to the Finance Committee for review and recommendation at a future meeting. FIVE-YEAR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (C-I-P) STATUS REPORT FOR 2011 PROJECTS The Finance Director presented and updated schedule of each C-I-P project budgeted for 2011. This schedule indicates the status of each project and a dollar summary of the appropriations that will need to be “rolled over” or will not be used for 2012.
