Deliverable: DG to continue to communicate by email and phone on a real -time basis to let the <br />MCC know of current events, status of potential funding opportunities and updates on relevant <br />legislation. DG continue to participate actively in monthly MCC meetings by teleconference. <br />Deliverable: Track grant opportunities. <br />2. Schedule and coordinate the fly -in to Washington — February 2012 MCC Trip and facilitate additional <br />opportunities for coalition members traveling to DC throughout the year to meet with key leaders and <br />attend meetings. <br />• Schedule Congressional meetings with Representative Polis, Perlmutter and Senators Udall and <br />Bennet. <br />• Schedule meetings with Washington staff of delegation. <br />• Schedule meetings with relevant authorizers and appropriations staffers and Members, including <br />Joyce Rose, Helena Zyblikewycz and others who will have a role in funding US 36. <br />• Request a meeting with FHWA and FTA executive staff. <br />• Request a meeting with USDOT TIFIA office. <br />• Facilitate meetings throughout 2012 for MCC members traveling to DC for other purposes. <br />Deliverable: A full schedule of confinned meetings and follow up after February trip. <br />3. FY 2013 Appropriations Requests (Subject to MCC Action) <br />• Provide schedule for appropriations process. <br />• Provide schedule for surface transportation reauthorization process. <br />Deliverable: Provide and summary of the TIFIA amendments and other significant proposed <br />changes to law in the House and Senate reauthorization bills. <br />Deliverable: Track the Federal Register and provide a summary of grant opportunities that would <br />support improvements to the US 36 Corridor. <br />4. Colorado Meetings <br />• DG will determine which Colorado delegation members prefer to meet in Colorado while at <br />home. <br />• Seek opportunities to bring Congressional staff to the corridor. <br />5. Role of DG Staff <br />Bill Simmons will be the lead strategist and point of contact for the MCC regarding all federal <br />appropriations related requests. Bill will work closely with Levon Boyagian regarding the day -to -day <br />federal strategy for the MCC. <br />Senior members and staff on the respective authorizing and appropriations committees are critical to the <br />MCC's long term success. Bill will reach -out to their respective contacts and networks on Capitol Hill <br />beyond the Colorado delegation. <br />9 <br />
