<br />Section 2. Section 10.04.020 of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code is hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to provide <br />for the following additions and modifications to the Code adopted <br />by this ordinance, to read as follows: <br /> <br />10.04.020 <br /> <br />Additions or modifications. <br /> <br />Unless specifically noted as an amendment to Article <br />II, the following additions and amendments are made to <br />Article I of the Model Traffic Code for Colorado <br />Municipalities, 1995 Edition: <br /> <br />A. Section 108, Public officers to obey provisions <br />- exceptions for emergency vehicles, subsection (3) is <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />(3) The exemptions granted in paragraphs (b) to <br />(d) of subsection (2) of this section to an <br />authorized emergency vehicle shall apply only when <br />such vehicle is making use of audible or visual <br />signals meeting the requirements of section 213, <br />and the exemption granted in paragraph (a) of <br />subsection (2) of this section shall apply only <br />when such vehicle is making use of visual signals <br />meeting the requirements of section 213 unless <br />using such visual signals would cause an <br />obstruction to the normal flow of traffic; except <br />that an authorized emergency vehicle being operated <br />as a police vehicle while in actual pursuit of a <br />suspected violator of any provision of this code <br />need not display or make use of audible and/or <br />visual signals so long as such pursuit is being <br />made to obtain verification of or evidence of the <br />guilt of the suspected violator. Nothing in this <br />section shall be construed to require an emergency <br />vehicle to make use of audible signals when such <br />vehicle is not moving, whether or not the vehicle <br />is occupied. <br /> <br />B. Section 1101, Speed Limits, subsection (4) and <br />subsection (7) are deleted, and subsection (2) is amended <br />to read as follows: <br /> <br />(2) Where speed limits are posted by an official <br />traffic control device, it shall be unlawful for <br />any person to drive any vehicle in excess of the <br />posted speed limits. Where speed limits are not <br />posted, and where no special hazard exists that <br />requires a lower speed, the following speeds shall <br />be lawful: <br /> <br />2 <br />
