ORDINANCE NO. 1353, SERIES 2000 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7 OF THE LOUISVILLE COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT DESIGN STANDARDS PERTAINING THE COMMERCIAL RETAIL & OFFICE SIGN STANDARDS GUIDELINES - 1st reading - set public hearing 12/19/00 Davidson called for City Attorney introduction. City Attorney Sam Light read Ordinance No. 1353, Series 2000. MOTION: Sisk moved that Ordinance No. 1353, Series 2000 be set out for publication and a public hearing be set for November 21, 2000, seconded by Howard. All in favor. EXECUTIVE SESSION City Attorney Sam Light requested that Council go into executive session for the purpose of discussing pending litigation. City Clerk Nancy Varra read Section 2.90.050 Public Statement of the Louisville Municipal Code, pertaining to the rules of Executive Session. MOTION: Davidson moved that Council go into executive session to discuss pending litigation with the City Attorney, the City Administrator and Assistant to the City Administrator, seconded by Brown. Roll call vote was taken. The motion passed by a vote of 7-0. The City Council went into executive session at 9:30 p.m. Davidson reconvened the Council meeting at 9:50 p.m. MOTION: Sisk moved that Council direct the City Attorney to prepare a motion for the Public Utilities Commission contesting the jurisdictional rights of the PUC, seconded by Brown. All in favor. City Attorney Light reported on the PUC established schedule for consideration of Docket No. 00D-583E. The matter would require a public comment meeting on January 17, 2001, at 7:00 p.m., in the Louisville City Council Chambers. A formal PUC hearing will follow at the PUC offices on January 18th and 19th, 2001. None. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT 14
