Cultural Council Meeting Minutes March 15, 2012 Page 2 of 3 President's Report — Art Underground request regarding Summer Concert series. Lori Jones would like to participate in the concerts. In the past, she has done a children's booth. Vendor participation costs are inexpensive; only $100. One Book Louisville — Beth Barrett, Louisville Library has selected the book for this year. Action Item: Shary and Denice to coordinate with Beth on how to integrate the book this year. SCFD Grant Training Treasurer's Report 12012 Budget — Reviewed the 2012 draft budget. Danyelle moved to approve the 2012 draft budget. Shary seconded the motion. The budget was approved by all. Event Reports — Andy was not present therefore the Swing State Coffeehouse Concert on 2/17 was not reported. Action Item: Andy to report on at the April 191h meeting. Danyelle was not present therefore the Young Artists Show was not reported. Action Item: Danyelle to report on at the April 19th meeting. Andy was not present therefore the Summer Concert update was not reported. Action Item: Andy to report on at the April 19th meeting. Upcoming Events: • Beth & Margot, Friday, March 16th at 7:30 pm. • Silent Film Evening, Saturday, March 17th at 7:30 pm. City Council Update - Council Member Frost Yarnell discussed the City's Comprehensive Plan. The plan was last adopted in 2009. Discussed the proposed work effort and the comprehensive public outreach; encouraging the public's involvement. Advocated this being a critical time in where Louisville is going. Brief discussion about the RTD / train between Longmont and Denver.
