Willow Street, Louisville, CO, addressed the Public Service Company <br />Special Review Use permit application. He asked that Council include a flyer in the next <br />water bill mailing to announce the public hearing on January 17, 2001, so that the public <br />is informed. He also asked that the home rule issue be a part of the November 2001 <br />ballot. He reported that there is a bill in the Colorado House, which would enable <br />statutory cities, like Louisville, the authority to raise funds specifically to bury power <br />lines. He also asked that the burial issue be a part of the November 2001 ballot. <br /> <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br /> THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Mayer thanked Police Chief Bruce Goodman and Louisville Police Officers Mike Miller <br />and Chris Muzzipapa for completion of the first Louisville Police Academy that he and <br />Councilman Keany attended. Mayer stated that it was an excellent presentation and <br />overview of policies, procedures and police work in Louisville. He stated that it required <br />a tremendous amount of work on the officers' part. <br /> <br />Keany stated that it was an excellent program and recommended it to Council and <br />Louisville citizens. <br /> <br />Sisk reported on a meeting with Senator Phillips and Representative Plant. He stated that <br />the discussion centered on issues that would come before them during the next legislative <br />session. He noted that discussions also addressed the burial of power lines and growth <br />issues. Sisk thanked Assistant to the City Administrator, Heather Balser for arranging the <br />session with the State Senator and Representative. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
