<br />Section 17. Section 15.12.020 of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code is hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />15.12.020 Amendments to Uniform Fire Code. <br /> <br />A. Section 103.2.1.1 of the Uniform Fire Code is <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />The City Administrator shall be responsible for <br />administration and enforcement of this code. <br /> <br />B. Section 207-F of the Uniform Fire Code is <br />amended to add the following definition: <br /> <br />FIRE LANE is a hard surfaced roadway which shall be <br />available for unobstructed emergency vehicle access at <br />any time. The owner, lessee, or occupant of the property <br />shall be responsible for providing regular maintenance <br />and snow removal for all fire lanes. Fire lanes shall be <br />considered Fire Apparatus Access Roads. <br /> <br />C. Section 902.2.2.2 of the Uniform Fire Code is <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 902.2.2.2 Surface. Fire apparatus access <br />roads shall be designed and constructed of hard surface, <br />i.e. asphalt or concrete, to withstand the weight of fire <br />apparatus and such surfaces must be able to support the <br />weight of the heaviest fire apparatus of the fire <br />district serving the property. The grade of a fire <br />apparatus access road shall not exceed seven percent <br />(7%). During the construction of a land use development <br />project, the property owner or contractor may apply for <br />a waiver of the requirement to construct a hard surface <br />fire apparatus access road. The waiver request shall <br />include an engineered plan for the alternative <br />construction of the access road and a plan for the <br />continued maintenance of the access road during the <br />period of project construction. Upon completion of the <br />project and prior to the issuance of a certificate of <br />occupancy, any fire apparatus access road shall be <br />constructed of permanent hard surface. <br /> <br />Section 18. Section 15.12.030 of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code is hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />15.12.030 Appendices adopted. <br /> <br />Appendices I-C, II-A, II-B, II-D, II-F, III-B, III- <br />C, IV-B, V-A, VI-A, VI-C, VI-D, VI-E of the Uniform Fire <br /> <br />11 <br />
