Louisville Open Space Citizens Advisory Board Meeting <br />7:00 p.m. <br />Monday, October 21, 2002 <br />Louisville Public Library <br />950 Spruce <br />Louisville, CO 80027 <br />Attendance: Matt Jones, Pat Hornbostel, Bob Muckle, Sue Remington, Bill VanOrman, <br />Cary Tengler <br />Also in attendance: Cindy Lair, City Staff <br />Matt Jones called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />Minutes were passed with no changes (is this correct ?). <br />Motions and recommendations made during the October 21, 2002 meeting <br />1. ? ? ?? moved to pass minutes with no changes. ? ?? seconded. Motion passed 5 -0. <br />Issues from Board not on the agenda <br />? ?? commented that on a recent visit to the Davidson Mesa s/he the gate on the west end <br />of the off -leash dog area was missing. <br />Issues from Staff <br />Cindy Lair updated the LOSCAB on the status of the County Trails representative. Upon <br />consideration, it was determined that a city staffer would be the most appropriate <br />representative as the council would be considering a variety of alternative transportation <br />uses moreso than beautification issues. Additionally, Ms. Lair suggested that a public <br />hearing be held re: trail use and expansion. <br />Cindy Lair asked for input re: a potential expenditure of $3300 (approx.) on a City of <br />Louisville survey of open space usage. If the study is approved, it will likely begin in <br />January, 2003 <br />Ms. Lair informed the board that the City Council will conduct a working session on the <br />use of motorized scooters and other motorized vehicles on trails. <br />Ms. Lair informed the board that Open Space monies would be separate from Parks <br />monies in future city budgets. <br />
