We need to have a working session on both designs at our next meeting, however the reviews will probably <br />require multiple meetings. Ken Johnson, City Planner, is in agreement with our review of these. <br />Drought Maintenance <br />Discussed tree benefits towards water conservation and temperature cooling. Mary Burkhardt of the <br />Camera had contacted Terry and Dave S. today for an article this weekend on drought issues and <br />landscaping. <br />Old Business <br />Goal Review — drought will reduce any replenishment of plants to zero. <br />Rewording of items 2 and 6. <br />Items 2 & 3 proposed by Betty to be re- worded to read: <br />2. collaborate with the Lousiville Planning Commission to review, revise and update landscape <br />design sections of the Community Development Design Standards & Guidelines both Commercial <br />and Industrial. <br />3. Address lack of public outreach concern by utilizing various media, collaborating with other city <br />advisory boards, and pursue demonstration projects. <br />Item to be worded per David: <br />6. Redevelop the Arboretum Master Plan. <br />Next Meeting <br />Thursday, July 18, 6PM. Entire focus will be on commercial design standards. The industrial design <br />standards are relatively new and review will be deferred. <br />Adjournment <br />7:09PM. <br />
