Any person who violates any provision of this <br />Ordinance shall be punished by a fine of not. more than $1,000 or by <br />imprisonment. not to exceed 1 year or bot.h such fine and <br />imprisonment.. Each day during any port.ion ot which any violat.ion <br />of any provision of t.his ordinance is c01'lUllit.t.ed, continued, or <br />permitted by any such person shall be a separat.e offense. <br /> <br />aeotio. 3. It any portion of t.his ordinance is held t.o be <br />invalid for any reason, such decision shall not affect the validit.y <br />of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The City Council <br />hereby declare. t.hat it. would have passed this ordinance and each <br />part hereof irrespective of the tact t.hat anyone part be declared <br />invalid. <br /> <br />.eatiOD 4. · The repeal or modification of any provision of <br />t.he Municipal Code of the Cit.y ot LoUiSVille by this ordinance <br />shall not release, extinguish, alter, mOdify, or change in whole or <br />in part any penalty, forfeiture, or liability, either civil or <br />criminal, which shall have been incurred under suah provision, and <br />each provision shall be treated and held as st.ill re_ining in <br />torce tor the purpose of sustaining any and all proper actions, <br />suits, proceedings, and prosecutions for the entorcement ot the <br />penalty, forfeit.ure, or liability, as well as for the purpose ot <br />sustaining any jUdgment, decree, or order which can or may be <br />rendered, entered, or made in such actions, suits, proceedings, or <br />prosecut.ioDS. <br /> <br />aeat.ieD 5.
