Approval of 1 ti'ear Contract Extension for Auditing Services <br />with Swanhorst & Company LLC <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br />There were no public comments. <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br />THE AGENDA <br />Mayor Pro Tem Brown reported on the ongoing debate at the Denver Regional <br />Council of Governments (DRC;OG) relative to urban growth boundaries. <br />Arapahoe County is seeking approval of a development at the Lowry Bombing <br />Range, which is outside the urrban growth boundary. He also reported on the <br />success of the Youth Night at the Street Faire and recognized Mark Zaremba for <br />his work on the event. He encouraged the DBA to continue with the Youth Night <br />as a part of the Street Faire. I-le offered his condolences to the Colacci family <br />and recognized Joe Colacci for his contributions to Louisville and the business <br />community. <br />Mayor Sisk introduced and wE;lcomed new City Manager Malcolm Fleming. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />City Manager Malcolm Fleming expressed his appreciation to the Mayor and <br />Council and stated he looks forward to working with the Council and city staff. <br />He thanked Council for their patience in allowing him the time to move to <br />Colorado. He thanked Assistant City Manager Balser for her work and <br />commended her leadership. City Manager Fleming reported on the following: <br />• Discussions with the Boulder Valley School District on fiber optics. <br />• Working with Boulder County on a Disaster Mitigation Plan. <br />• The Louisville Middle ~~chool Remodel Project. The Louisville Middle <br />School Principal will atl:end the September 4, 2007 Council meeting to <br />report on the progress of the project. <br />• The Louisville Revitalization Commission (LRC) has requested and <br />received an extension on the EDA Brownsfield Grant for the Highway 42 <br />area. <br />
