Enclave Circle, Louisville, CO urged Council to deny <br />the Resolution and allow the voters to decide this issue. <br />COUNCIL COMMENT <br />Council member Sackett explained Council worked very hard on the Cooperation <br />Agreement between the Council and the LRC. He did not understand why the <br />initiative was needed as the Council already has the power over the LRC. He did <br />not support the City Council urging citizens to vote one way or another. He <br />supported Council letting the public know their position. <br />Council member Muckle voicE:d his belief in the citizen initiative process. He felt <br />the government has no right in telling the citizens how to vote on a citizen's <br />initiative, instead Council mernbers should individually voice their opinion on the <br />issue. He voiced his opposition to Resolution No. 52. <br />Council member Marsella voiced her opposition to Ballot Issue 2A and stated it <br />contains misleading and falsE: statements. She explained the Cooperative <br />Agreement with the LRC was a very public process. She expressed her <br />disappointment with the citizens' initiative and urged Council to pass Resolution <br />No. 52. <br />Council member Yarnell voicE:d her opposition to Resolution No. 52 and her <br />support of the citizen initiativE: process. She urged the public to contact their <br />Council representatives and ask what their position is on this issue. <br />Council member Clabots concurred the Cooperation Agreement was a very <br />public process and required a lot of compromising. He explained all the checks <br />and balances are contained iin the Cooperation Agreement. He voiced his <br />opposition to Ballot Issue 2A. <br />Mayor Sisk voiced his concern over Resolution No. 52 and stated it could be a <br />potentially divisive issue. HE: addressed Mr. Gee's presentation where members <br />of the Louisville Moving Forward Group were cited. He asked if the membership <br />of Preserve Louisville Group is posted on their Web Page. He addressed <br />Resolution No. 52 and found portions bothersome and suggested the language <br />
