Louisville City Council Meeting <br />November 18, 2003 <br />Page 3 of 11 <br /> <br />STORAGE TECHNOLOGY APPLICATIONS <br /> <br />REQUEST CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HEARING - STORAGETEK <br /> ANNEXATION PETITION <br /> <br />Mayor Davidson opened the public hearing. <br /> <br />David Waldman, 255 Continental View Drive, Louisville, CO, voiced his belief that <br />growth is good for the City of Louisville. He stated there is a great opportunity to <br />develop the community in a smart manner with the Storage Technology redevelopment <br />plan. <br /> <br />Davidson requested City Attorney advisement of options. City Attorney Light stated the <br />City could: 1) Republish the notice of public hearing or 2) Receive an hour of testimony. <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Davidson moved that Council continue the public hearing on the <br />StorageTek Annexation to December 16, 2003 seconded by Mayor Pro Tern Sisk. All in <br />favor. Motion passed. <br /> <br />REQUEST CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HEARINGS - STORAGETEK <br />APPLICATIONS FOR: ZONING AN EIGHTY ACRE PARCEL, REZONING A <br />310 ACRE PARCEL, AMENDING THE 1998 SOUTH SUB AREA <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, AND A REQUEST FOR VESTED PROPERTY <br />RIGHTS <br /> <br />Mayor Davidson opened the public hearing. <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Davidson moved that Council continue the Comprehensive <br />Amendment Plan to December 2, 2003 and continue the public hearing on the <br />StorageTek Zoning to December 16, 2003 seconded by Mayor Pro Tern Sisk. <br />All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING - PROPOSED 2004 BUDGET <br /> <br />Mayor Davidson called for Staff presentation. <br /> <br />Finance Director Charlene Laus summarized the proposed 2004 operating and capital <br />budget. The 2004 budget includes a total revenue projection of $28,884,939 for all funds. <br />These revenues plus the beginning projected available fund balances for all funds, the <br />estimated bond an loan proceeds, and operating transfers in will generate available <br />sources of funds for the 2004 budget of $58,942,886. <br /> · Property taxes to be collected in 2004 are $384,244,284. Voter-approved debt to <br /> construct the new library will generate an estimated $586,400. <br /> · Sales tax projection for 2004 is $9,942,050. <br /> <br /> <br />
