Louisville City Council Meeting <br />June 18, 2002 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Approval of Bills <br />Approval of Minutes (6/04/02) <br />Resolution No. 20, Series 2002 -A Resolution Approving an Agreement <br />Between the State of Colorado Department of Transportation and the <br />City of Louisville for Maintenance of Traffic Control Devices <br />Resolution No. 21, Series 2002 - A Resolution Authorizing the Mayor to <br />Execute Water Lease and Exchange Agreement on Behalf of the City in <br />Order to Enhance City Water Supply <br />Authorization to Sign Letter Approving Comprehensive Plan <br />Amendment & Rezoning for the Fingru Property <br />Reject All Bids for Structure Improvements at Dillon Road~Coal Creek <br />and Authorize Staff to Enter Negotiations Concerning a Contract <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Scott Fowle, 177 Cherrywood Lane, Louisville, CO, addressed the expansion of the <br />recreation center and recommended that Council expand the tennis courts at that location <br />to develop a tennis complex. He explained that the courts are heavily used by the public <br />and by youth programs and that four more courts would help with city programs. <br /> <br />Rob Scott, 946 Arapahoe Circle, Louisville, CO, stated that he represents tennis players <br />in the community, and is the founding president of the Centennial Valley Tennis <br />Association. He thanked the City for its ongoing support of tennis and explained that a <br />very broad range of the population enjoys the sport. He urged Council to direct Staff to <br />locate four new tennis courts west of the four exiting courts and construct the skate park <br />in a different location. <br /> <br />Nancy Love, 841 Front Street, reported that the RTD bus stop at Front and Walnut still <br />has painted markings for a parking space. She explained that this has caused problems <br />for RTD as cars continue to park there and block the space for buses. <br /> <br />Love reported that Ed Homestead has billed for the downtown signage and that the signs <br />are ready, however a pole is needed at 96th & Dillon. She requested that the City install <br />the pole so that a downtown sign can be mounted. <br /> <br />Love congratulated Council for hiring Cindy Lair as Director of Land Management. She <br />stated her opinion that Lair will do a fine job for the City. <br /> <br />Love remarked that the conceptual plans for the recreation/senior center are prominently <br />displayed in the center's lobby. She requested that the architectural or conceptual plans <br />for the library be displayed at the Library or City Hall. <br /> <br />Rich Olson, 801 Owl Drive, Louisville, CO addressed the issue of the termination of the <br />RTD 227-bus service and the proposed Dash bus schedule. He explained that the 227-bus <br />service will end in September and the Dash bus services will take its place. The Dash bus <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
