Louisville City Council Meeting <br />June 18, 2002 <br />Page 7 <br /> <br />Davidson stated that Council's original intent was to extend two PUDS, which expired <br />while the downtown parking issue was being discussed. He voiced his belief that it was <br />not the Council's intent to made PUDS valid for six years. <br /> <br />Davidson asked Planning Director Wood for clarification on the time limits on building <br />permits. Wood stated that principle is that progress be made on construction projects. <br /> <br />Davidson requested a provision that if work is not substantially completed the building <br />permit expires. He voiced his preference that the City Attorney be directed to amend <br />Ordinance No. 1377, Series 2002, to have a one-time extension of PUDS. <br /> <br />Sisk asked if Council could extend the PUDS administratively. City Attorney Light stated <br />that extending the PUDS requires an ordinance. <br /> <br />MOTION: Davidson moved that Council direct the City Attorney to modify Ordinance <br />No.1377, Series 2002, to establish a one-time extension for the two PUDS that are in <br />question, seconded by Mayer. <br /> <br />Keany stated that the Old Louisville Inn did not go forward because of the parking issues <br />and asked that they be included. <br /> <br />Davidson stated that all the PUDS expiring within the given period would be extended. <br /> <br />Sisk offered a friendly amendment that any PUDS in the downtown area, expiring <br />between January 1, 2002 and December 31, 2002 will be extended. <br /> <br />Davidson and Mayer accepted the amendment. <br /> <br />VOTE: Roll call vote was taken. The motion passed by a vote of 6-0. Brown excused. <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1385, SERIES 2002 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br /> CHAPTER 5.08 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE TO ALLOW <br /> LIQUOR LICENSEES TO PAY A FINE IN LIEU OF LIQUOR LICENSE <br /> SUSPENSIONS IN CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES - 2nd reading -public hearing <br /> (advertised Daily Camera 05/25/02) <br /> <br />Davidson called for City Attorney introduction. <br /> <br />City Attorney Light read Ordinance No. 1385, Series 2002. <br /> <br />Davidson called for Staff presentation. <br /> <br />Deputy City Manager Julie Boyd reported on the second reading of Ordinance No. 1385, <br />Series 2002.
