Boulder Road <br />Approval of Resolution No. 43, Series 2003- A Resolution Creating A <br />Library Capital Construction Fund <br />Approval of Resolution No. 44, Series 2003- A Resolution Creating the <br />Building Maintenance Fund <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Charlie Light, 603 Lois Drive, Louisville, CO and Hannah Tienken, 404 W. Spruce Lane, <br />Louisville, CO, stated they are students at Louisville Elementary School. They informed <br />Council the Louisville Elementary School is sponsoring a collection box, located in the <br />lobby of the City Hall building, for donations for Emergency Family Assistance <br />Association. They asked for donations of food, diapers and toiletries for the homeless. <br /> <br />Doug Grinbergs, 930 W. Sycamore Circle, Louisville, CO addressed the 2004 election <br />where 66 mail ballots were sent to the wrong municipal ward. He suggested the use of <br />GIS to improve ballot delivery to correct addresses. <br /> <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br /> THE AGENDA <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION - CULTURE OF GIVING WEEK <br /> <br />Mayor Davidson proclaimed December 7 - 13, 2003 as Culture of Giving Week and <br />urged all members of the community to join the Culture of Giving to enhance the <br />community and support nonprofit organizations. He presented the proclamation to <br />Conrad Lattes, of the Community Foundation. <br /> <br />Conrad Lattes, 873 8th Street, Boulder, CO, Board member on the Community <br />Foundation, explained the organization began several years ago to support non-profit <br />organizations. He informed Council the residents of Boulder County donate far less than <br />other residents of Colorado. He voiced his belief there is a cultural difference and the <br />collective responsibility of people to be made aware of the wonderful work of non-profit <br />organizations. He urged members of Council to refer to the Culture of Giving Web site <br />for a list of non-profits and contribute generously. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
