Commissioner Reichenberg <br />who was also in attendance at the conference said the focus was mostly on economic <br />conditions of commercial development. <br />Councilmember Lipton asked what reaction the audience had to any of the presentation. <br />DeJong stated that Broomfield’s residential approvals were notable. <br />Susan Loo asked what are the advantages and disadvantages to CTC versus the North Park <br />Broomfield Office park. North Park is more of a competitor to Interlocken. DeJong said <br />Broomfield North Park development is better suited for large-single user. CTC is an industrial <br />park and the ability to build your own building is an advantage. In addition we are closer to <br />Boulder. <br />RETENTION MEETINGS: <br /> Economic Development Director DeJong met with the leadership team at Medtronic. <br />They are interested in development of amenities on McCaslin for their employees. <br />Walkability is very important to their employees. The Coal Creek Trail and Coal Creek <br />Golf Course are huge amenities to Medtronic employees. DeJong assured them that <br />reopening of both is a priority to the City.Medtronic’s employees like to enjoy downtown <br />amenities but the lack of parking has become an issue for them. <br />. <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIEFING: <br /> Grain Elevator: Louisville Mill Site, LLC has begun cleanup work and stabilization of the <br />Grain Elevator <br /> Alfalfa’s is forming an advisory board of 10 – 12 local people to help determine what can <br />make Alfalfa’s successful. <br /> Pearl iZumi will have an opening celebration on December 8th. <br /> DELO has submitted final PUD <br /> Phillips 66 – no new interest <br />
