<br />Maj-Lis Kemper, outgoing City Clerk, thanked Mayor, Council, and the citizens as being City Clerk <br />had been the greatest experience of her life. <br /> <br />SELECTION OF MAYOR PRO- TEM <br /> <br />Howard nominated Councilman Sisk as Mayor Pro-Tern. Seconded by Mayer. All in favor. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENT OF CITY OFFICIALS <br /> <br />Sisk, Chairman of the Legal Committee, stated that the Legal Committee met and they moved that <br />Griffiths & Tanoue be appointed as City Attorney; for Water Attorney they moved that Vranish & <br />Reisch be appointed; for Prosecuting Attorney they moved that Rautenstraus & Joss be appointed; <br />and for Municipal Judge they moved that John Stavely be appointed. Seconded by Howard. All in <br />favor. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS TO COUNCIL COMMITTEES <br /> <br />Davidson appointed: <br /> <br />Council Finance Committee - Davidson, Sisk, Lathrop <br />Boulder County Consortium of Cities - Mayer with Sisk as alternate <br />DRCOG - Mayer with Howard as alternate <br />Representative to Seniors - Howard with Sisk as alternate <br />Coal Creek/Rock Creek Trail Liaison - Lathrop with Levihn as alternate <br />Boulder County Transportation Coalition - Lathrop with Davidson as alternate <br />Rocky Flats Impact Initiative - Lathrop with staff member Kelley as alternate <br />Legal Review Committee - Sisk, Levihn, and Keany <br />Council Liaison w/Louisville Chamber of Commerce - Keany <br />BVSD Comp Planning Committee - Sisk <br />NW Pkwy. negotiations - Levihn with Davidson as alternate <br />Solid Waste Authority - Mayer with an alternate from the Resource Conservation Board <br /> <br />Davidson stated that when he was elected Mayor the new government was referred to by the locals <br />as FROG, Financial Responsible Open Government, which he felt described what Council had done. <br />Some of the other accomplishments were: <br /> <br />1.) No longer do special interests run Louisville. <br />2.) No longer is there off-book financing. <br />3.) Growth is now under control. <br />4.) The first new park in ten years had been built. <br />5.) Council made the second, third, and fourth open space purchases, the only open space <br />purchases in ten years. <br />6.) In three of the last four years Council lowered the mill levy on the property tax. <br /> <br />2 <br />
