I <br /> I LOUISVILLE ARTS AND HUMANITIES CULTURAL COMMITTEE <br /> IMARCH 15, 1990 <br /> Present at the meeting Carolyn Markham, John Hansen, Mary O'Brien, <br /> INancy Westergaard, and Joanne Lyman. Guests: Peter SteWa 61+. <br /> COUNCIL BUSINESS AND RESOLUTIONS <br /> The Council passed the motion to accept the protocol statement regard- <br /> ' ing operational procedures set forth at the February 13th, 1990 meeting <br /> i Nancy (Treasurer) reported that there was $3722.32 in the LAHCC account <br /> 115°.' O of which belongs to the Louisville Public Library a L AA <br /> Mary requested funds for the LAH4 scrapbook.due to be acquired shortly. , <br /> ICarolyn (President) reported that she had received phone calls from two <br /> people requesting perspectives for the art to be located in the new library. <br /> bIt was reported that Virginia and Eugene Caranci had written a letter on <br /> the LAHCC behalf . They support our bid for the Cultural Art Center. Acknow- <br /> ' ledge this we will be sending a 'Thank-you' note from the LAHCC. <br /> It was unanimously agreed that the LAHCC would meet with Randy Burkardt <br /> I (Tree Board) to inform and ascertain facts in regards to a tree grant <br /> proposal.. <br /> IJohn ( Member) reported his findings on the acquisition and costs of setting <br /> up a pottery lab in the new Louisville Recreation Center. His update <br /> I included cost a kiln,kickwheel,wiring,ventilation and furniture, The cost <br /> will also be determined by the source of power and size, It was determined <br /> to hold a meeting to review specifics on Mar. 27, 1990, 7:30 at the home of <br /> IJoanne Lyman.(Secretary) . <br /> IThe Council agreed that Carolyn's (President) presentation before the <br /> Louisville City Council would include the positive results of the LAHCC <br /> I Survey, and to give the general suggestions made by the Survey participants <br /> We all say 'Thank-you, very much' to Mary O'Brien (Member) and her husband, <br /> PTA for all their hard work and time on the accumulation and preparation <br /> of the LAHCC Survey, The Survey results will be published first in the <br /> Louisville rimes• and then Mary will contact M. McAllister from the 5ou/1 r • <br /> Daily Camer a . <br />
