<br />collector, one surety bond in the amount of ten <br />thousand dollars may be given to cover both <br />positions or offices. <br /> <br />3-d <br /> <br />2.29.949 Deputy eity elerk. <br /> <br />The city clerk may appoint a deputy city clerk and <br />as many asaiotanto as arc nocessary, within the <br />:~~~~:ions of the city budget. The city council may <br />~:~~r; such persona to give good and sufficient surety <br />bondo in an amount not to exceed ten thousand dollars, <br />conditioned upon the faithful performance of their duties <br />and the proper care and accounting of all moneya and <br />property coming into their hands. Cuch persona shall be <br />under the direct aupervision of the city cler){ and shall <br />not hold office at the pleasure of the city council. The <br />salaries of such persona shall be fixed by the city <br />cOUJ\cil. <br /> <br />2.36.010 Elective offices designated - Election - Term. <br /> <br />A. The qualified electors shall elect, at the November <br />1987 regular municipal election, and every four <br />years thereafter, a mayor, a city clerk and a city <br />treasurer from the city at large. Such officers <br />shall hold their respective offices for a term of <br />four years, commencing on the first Monday after the <br />first Tuesday in January following their election. <br /> <br />Section 2. Section 1 of this Ordinance shall take effect <br />only if and at such time as a majority of the registered electors <br />of the City of Louisville voting thereon at the special election <br />called pursuant to Section 3 of this Ordinance vote in favor of <br />making the position of City Clerk appointive, the appointment to <br />be made by the City Council. <br /> <br />Section 3.
