and regulations to achieve a more timely and continuing review and <br />evaluation than permitted under H.B. 1041 (1974) to avoid unnecessary <br />and counter-productive duplication of controls, and <br />WHEREAS, § 2-1-104 of the Colorado Land Use Commissions "Guide- <br />lines for Identification and Designation", adopted September 19, 1975 <br />provide for achieving the intent of H.B. 1041 (1974) through land use <br />control procedures authorized by statute other than H.B. 1041 (1974), and <br />WHEREAS, the City staff and consultants have met and worked with <br />the Land Use Commission staff to assure that the intent of H.B. 1041 <br />(1974) would be achieved through proper amendment of existing land use <br />and development control ordinances, res©lutions and regulations, and <br />WHEREAS, the Land Use Commission staff has testified that, in <br />the staff's judgment and opinion, the intent of H.B. 1041 can be <br />achieved through amendment of existing City land use and development <br />control ordinances, resolutions and regulations if the City of Louis- <br />ville adopts the proposed amendments submitted to the Land Use Commission <br />staff on May 28, 1976 aind if the City adopts other such resolutions and <br />agreements recommended lby the Land Use Commission staff. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BIE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Louisville, Colorado, <br />THAT, designation of "Site Selection and Development of New <br />Communities" as an activity of state interest is not, at this time, of <br />value in the City's efforts to achieve controlled development and there- <br />fore has no application to the City's land use controls, and <br />THAT, designation of the Colorado Technological Center as a site <br />selection and development of new communities activity of state interest <br />is hereby rejected. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT, the City Council of the City of <br />Louisville fully intend:; to comply with, and achieve the intent of H.B. <br />1041 (1974) through immediate amendment of existing land use and <br />-2- <br />
