CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br />Resolution No. 10 <br />Series, 1976 <br />A resolution concerning the general application of H.B. 1041 (1974) <br />regarding "Mineral Resource" as an .area of state interest as it applies <br />to the City of Louisville land use and development controls and the <br />consideration of designation of the Colorado Technological Center as <br />a mineral resource area of state interest. <br />WHEREAS, on April 29, 1975 the Colorado Land Use Commission by <br />resolution formally requested that the City of Louisville, Colorado <br />take action with respect to the designation of the Colorado Technological <br />Center as a mineral resource area of state interest pursuant to H.B. <br />1041 (1974), and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Louisville desires at this time to establish <br />the general application of mineral resource area of state interest to <br />its land use and development controls, and <br />WHEREAS, subsequent to the effective date of the annexation of the <br />Colorado Technological Center the City Council ordered a public hearing <br />to be held to consider said designation and notice of said public hearing <br />was published and sent Ito the Land Use Commission as required in X106-7-404 <br />H.B. 1041 (197d~), and <br />WHEREAS, said public hearing was held on May 4, 1976 and which <br />hearing was continued to and closed on June 1, 1976, and <br />WHEREAS, extremely limited mineral resource area has been identified <br />by detailed geologic investigation of the Colorado Technological Center <br />and said area is contained in the Coal Creek greenbelt as identified on <br />the Louisville, Colorado master plan and said area has been proposed for <br />dedication to the City as public open space, and <br />WHEREAS, if such mineral resource areas are determined to be of <br />economic value which outweighs the value of development and are not to <br />
