Louisville Sustainability Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes:Wednesday, April 16, 2014 <br />City Hall,749MainStreet,SpruceRoom <br />I. Call to Order:The meeting was called to order at 6:38pm by Chair Cullen Choi. Meeting Minutes <br />taken by David Hsu. <br />II. Roll Call: (Members presentin bold): Jim Bradford, Cullen Choi, Mary Ann Heaney, David <br />Hsu, Claudia Lenz, Mark Persichetti; Justine Vigil-Tapia; Staff Liaison Dave Szabados; City- <br />Council Liaison Ashley Stolzmann.In attendance was Tom Brophy, Zero Waste director for <br />Louisville street fair.. <br />III. Approval of Current-Meeting’s Agenda: The agenda was approved as-is. <br />IV. Approval of MarchMeeting Minutes: The minutes from theMarch19meeting wereapproved <br />as-is. <br />V. Public Commentson Items Not on the Agenda: <br />Tom Brophy remindedeveryone that the Louisville Street Fair is coming June 13 and is looking for <br />volunteers. <br />VI. “Ashley’s Minute” –Update on Council activities <br />Ashley reported that the Council may consider putting purchase of solar gardens <br />agenda. Ashley would appreciate feedback on the solar packet. <br />Ashley has received a citizen question about fluoridation of Louisville water. Ashley requested <br />comment from the Board. <br />VII. LSAB strategy and goals development and identification <br />Mary Ann presented Livable City goals and their possible applicability to Louisville. <br />The Board discussed Louisvilles Comprehensive Plan at a high le <br />energy/sustainability in that plan. <br />The Board discussed the possibility of drafting a comprehensive sustainability plan but <br />decided that a concise, high-level sustainability roadmap would be more appropriate. <br />The mission statement for the Board was reviewed. <br />The Board settled on these goals: <br />Develop a sustainability roadmap <br />Finalize the community gardens by June <br />Collect community input on the baseline energy study to establis <br />Zero waste goal to be developed next month <br />VIII.
