This was extended for <br />another ten years (through 2013) in 2002 and another ten years (through 2023 in 2012). <br />Revenue from this tax is used exclusively for the acquisition, development and <br />maintenance of open space, parks, trails, wildlife habitat, and wetlands preservation. <br />The line graph below shows the fourteen -year history, current year estimate, and a five - <br />year projection for Open Space & Parks Fund revenue, expenditures, and fund balances <br />assuming approval of the recommended C -I -P. Note that we project the reserves in the <br />fund to decline during 2014 and 2015, but then increase by $250,000 per year during <br />2016 through 2019. This proposed annual increase will be accomplished through inter - <br />fund transfers from the General Fund. <br />VIII <br />13 <br />
