ILI2 CITY OF LOUISVILLE FALL 2003 0MMUNIT Y UPDATE CITY COUNCIL NOVEMBER 4 CITY ELECTION ISSUES Mayor Tom Davidson 303.666.8573 The City of Louisville will be participating in the November 4 davidst @ci.louisville.co.us countywide mail ballot election. City residents will elect a new mayor and three City Council members, as well as vote on Ward I two ballot questions. Each will fill a four-year term. Mayor Tom John Keany Davidson will be stepping down after twelve years of 303.665.4818 service and the terms of Chuck Sisk (Ward 1), Sheri Marsella (Ward 2), and keanyj @ci.louisville.co.us Don Brown (Ward 3) will also expire. Nomination petitions for the positions Ward II of mayor and council members will be circulated between August 5 and Sheri Marsella August 25, at which time the candidates will be certified. 303.665.3276 Voters will also be asked to vote on a bond issue in the amount of marsels @ci.louisville.co.us $7,405,000 for the construction of a new library building. If approved, the City will issue bonds in the amount of$7.2 million to be repaid over a 20- Michele Van Pelt year period.
