• Enhancing the course through planting of flowers and bulbs is an obvious <br />candidate for volunteer participation and Kevin Norby should be asked for advice <br />on what to do. It was suggested that Home Depot or Lowes may be willing to <br />donate material. <br />• It was noted that Western Golf had done a poor job of painting the clubhouse but <br />this might involve scaffolding and/or ladder work that was beyond the scope of <br />volunteer work. Painting the pump house, however, was a potential candidate. <br />• Local business sponsorship through advertisements was used in the past but <br />only when the course was run by the external management company. Council <br />Member Keany advised that any on- course advertisement on a city -run facility <br />would have to be reviewed by Council to ensure consistent application of policy. <br />13. Next Meeting. <br />The next meeting will be held in the Library on November 17. Mary Heaney of the <br />Sustainability Board will make a presentation at this meeting. No meeting will be <br />held in December and, to avoid conflict with Public Holidays, the first two meetings <br />of 2015 will be held on January 12 and February 9 respectively. <br />14.
