Quantum spoke <br />at their grand opening about what a good place Louisville is for doing business and how great the <br />City staff had been in helping Quantum get through the planning process. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 77, SERIES 1996 - RECOGNIZING THE VOLUNTEER SERVICES OF <br />TOM MCA VINEW ON THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />Davidson read and presented Resolution No. 77, Series 1996, to Tom McAvinew for his work on the <br />Planning Commission. <br /> <br />CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL OF LETTER TO DENVER REGIONAL COUNCIL OF <br />GOVERNMENTS (DRCOG) - RE: NORTHWEST PARKWAY FEASIBILITY STUDY <br />(TABLED FROM THE DECEMBER 3, 1996 MEETING) <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, presented a draft letter to be sent to DRCOG regarding the <br />Northwest Parkway Feasibility Study (NWPFS). It was intended to be a joint letter with Boulder <br />County and the City of Broomfield. The letter requested that the NWPFS not be included in the draft <br />Transportation Improvement Program. Today Simmons had received a copy of a letter from the City <br />of Broomfield to DRCOG requesting that Broomfield be the primary sponsor of the NWPFS. <br /> <br />Kirk Oglesby, Projects Administrator for the City of Broomfield, presented a copy of the IGA <br />Broomfield's Council was discussing at their meeting. He asked Council to reconsider their request <br />to DRCOG or delay it until they had a chance to study the Parkway IGA. He pointed out that most <br />of the Parkway is already built, as Hwy. 93 exists coming out of Golden, Hwy. 128 exists, and 96th <br />Street is built with the interchange at Hwy 36. It does not go all the way south up the hill to Hwy. <br />128 yet, but the right-of-way is already dedicated and it is part of a phase of Interlocken's <br /> <br />2 <br />
